UFOs: What on Earth - or off of it - is the truth behind the official coverup? Here, Dr. J. Allen Hynek, the preeminent investigator of UFOs and the focus of the film Close Encounters of the Third Kind, takes us closer to a true understanding of this confusing and controversial matter. In The Hynek UFO Report, Dr. Hynek presents his own expert, detailed analysis of the classified files of Project Blue Book - data that was only recently made public. He covers such vital aspects of the UFO experience as: Radar sightings - and how the authorities explain them away. Official debunking policies - the ways government officials try desperately to produce ´´natural´´ explanations for UFOs, even when such explanations are wildly unrealistic. The various kinds of close encounters, from strange lights at night to flying discs in broad daylight. The phenomenon itself - the subjective experience of the UFO percipient. These and many other features of the UFO scene are covered in one of the most important books ever written on the subject. The Hynek UFO Report shows us that although the truth is out there, officialdom is trying to hide it. 1. Language: English. Narrator: Gary Roelofs. Immediately after two hijacked jets struck the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001, Dennis Smith volunteered in the rescue effort. Having spent his career as both a respected writer and a member of one of the city´s busiest firehouses, Smith became determined to use his unique background to tell the story of the disaster and its aftermath with the empathy and understanding that only an insider could bring to it. Smith has collected astonishing first-person testimony from rescuers who were present as the towers were attacked, evacuated, and then fell. He also recounts his own experiences at the devastation of Ground Zero over the next few weeks: attending to the physically and psychologically wounded, helping organize fund-raising, and attending some of the almost inconceivable number of funerals of firefighters, police officers, and emergency rescue workers. Report from Ground Zero is the most detailed and immediate record of this unforgettable event, with the unique perspective of a writer who has been praised as ´´the poet laureate of firefighters´´. 1. No other passages in scripture have been more talked about in end-time Bible prophecy than those dealing with the mark of the Beast. Revelation 13:18 adds to the horror by posing the Bible´s most mysterious riddle. It states: ´´Here is wisdom, let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: his number is 666.´´ In this Magi Report, the riddle is decoded and examined phrase by phrase, revealing the deep and seemingly hidden truths in scripture, such as the frightening significance of being ´´numbered´´, the meaning of 666, how the number will be counted, and its shocking role. This commentary provides an overview of current technologies, which fit the prophetic forecasts along with showing how they will be implemented geopolitically. Quantum computing, D-Wave, nanotechnology, biotechnology, advances in DNA-genetic engineering, holograms, CERN, FAST, transhumanism, and more are highlighted along with their speculated role during the tribulation. This report discloses the technologies that match the image and mark of the Beast along with what life will be like under the Antichrist´s police state and the accompanying biblical references that support technology´s role. As the technologies have advanced, they have helped to provide the full meaning of the prophetic forecasts that relate to technological developments. This report provides a detailed analysis of the mark of the Beast and its road to fulfillment along with the Tower of Babel path that technology is taking and the future discoveries that scientists are anticipating. The analysis reveals why taking the mark guarantees eternity in hell, why it is the unforgivable sin of blaspheme against the Holy Spirit, which is a sin Christians have pondered for centuries. Never before have we been so close to the start of the tribulation that an expose like this could even been penned. 1. Language: English. Narrator: Lawrence D Palmer. From the Pulitzer Prize winning Washington Post comes a meticulously detailed, insightful report on the killing that brought the nation´s attention to a city coming apart at the seams.Three minutes in Middle America shook a nation to its foundation. To many, it shone a spotlight on the frequently violent, often deadly interactions between young men of color and police departments. It highlighted the racial disparity in policing techniques, in response to crime, and in how race relations are perceived in an America where many incorrectly pride the country on being ´´post-racial.´´Renowned journalist Wesley Lowery has pulled together a vast and troubling panorama of reportage on the Ferguson slaying, and the aftermath--the marches, the clashes, and the slow, painful process of building trust between a devastated community and a police department tasked with serving and protecting it.Challenging and necessary, Ferguson engages America in a frank and necessary dialogue about race relations, about legacies of bigotry that continue to this day, and about a path forward as one nation, equal under the law.Contributors include: Joel Achenbach, Mark Berman, Lindsey Bever, Jeremy Borden, Amy Brittain, DeNeen L. Following the publication of Jules Verne´s novel Around the World in Eighty Days in 1873, Americans had an increasing interest in travel. World travel was becoming even easier with the faster steamships of the day. In 1888, Nellie Bly, a feisty, investigative reporter for Joseph Pulitzer´s New York World newspaper, pitched a story idea of traveling around the world in 75 days to beat the record achieved by Phileas Fogg, the character in Verne´s book. While the editor thought it a great idea, he naturally thought the trip should be made by a man. The idea was shelved for over a year. One day in November 1889, Bly´s editor told her the trip against Fogg´s time would occur, and she would be the reporter to go - in just two days! She sailed east toward England on 14 November, 1889. The Cosmopolitan was a rival magazine in New York. Not to be outdone by Pulitizer, the Cosmopolitan editors suddenly decided - seemingly within minutes of Bly´s departure - to send their own female reporter, Elizabeth Bisland, on a world trip with the intent to return to New York before Bly. Bisland left that evening on a train going west to San Francisco. Both reporters wrote detailed accounts of their journeys. For the first time, their writings have been combined in this book so that a consistent timeline is maintained between both women. The listener can feel the urgency and uniqueness of their travels while fully enjoying the similarities and differences in the authors´ styles and their experiences. Who will win the race? Elizabeth Cochrane adopted the name of the Stephen Foster song Nelly Bly as her pen name. This famous song is performed in the credits by noted musicians Vivian and Phil Williams and is used with their gracious permission. You can hear more of their music at VoyagerRecords.com. 1.
